The fabulous folks over at Funfactory sent me the new Bubbles miniVIBE to review and I love it! It’s cute and it’s pink (official color is candy rose). Not to big, not to small and has multiple uses (external/clitoral or g-spot/vaginal stimulation) and it’s got more girth than most toys. It does not have a flared base so it cannot be used anally. The Bubbles miniVIBE is made of hypoallergenic medical-grade silicone with a small amount of hard black plastic at the base. It’s a multifunction multi-speed toy. It was slightly louder than I expected when I first turned it on but it’s not the loudest toy I own. It’s certainly a good beginner toy because it’s not to intimidating but will do the trick for a more advanced user as well. It’s also waterproof and can be safely used in the shower or bathtub. Oh the possibilities this toy has!

The vibrations were sufficient when fully charged, but a little more power would be nice but I think I say that about everything. There are multiple speeds and settings of vibration and pulsation including a stead pace, slow pulsing, fast pulsing, rapid pulsing. The vibrations are most concentrated at the tip but they are well distributed throughout the vibrator, which is a definite plus. I can’t stand vibrators that only vibrate in one spot but not the rest of the toy.

The Bubbles is firm but still has the ability to bend a bit. The non-porous, phthalate-free, latex free material has a soft velvety feel to it. I found that the bubble pattern was the perfect position to stimulate the g-spot when inserted properly, but it is short so it can’t be inserted much further than that. It also provided adequate clitoral stimulation when used externally. It is somewhat awkward to hold because of the short handle but wasn’t a problem.

You won’t have to worry about this toy shutting off accidentally mid-orgasm like other toys on the market, as the control buttons are not super sensitive. Beware; the charger for the Bubbles miniVIBE comes in a separate package. As for the charger – make sure you set the toy somewhere it won’t get knocked around while charging as the charger easily comes off the vibe. It also won’t charge while it’s turned on so make sure it’s fully off even if it’s almost dead. When your Bubbles miniVIBE is fully charged the light near the charger will have a solid red light. Do not leave the charger plugged into the outlet while it is not charging! In order to turn it on you need to hold down the plus sign for 2 seconds. When you first turn it on it starts on the highest setting. Hold the minus button to move to a different vibration setting.

You should only use Water-Based Lubricants with this toy, as using silicone lubricant will break down the toy and your sex toy will look like Swiss cheese. Swiss Cheese is not sexy (in my opinion). A sample size of FunFactory’s Toyfluid Lubricant is included with the vibrator. Also, do not store your Bubbles miniVIBE next to other silicone toys. They will melt and fuse together. I recommend a plastic zip-top type bag or small plastic box.

This toy, like other silicone toys gets dirty very easily. Lint, dust and dirt in the drawer or toybox all stick to the vibe. Thankfully, it is easy to clean with mild soap and warm water and thanks to the magnetic charging function there are no holes or battery compartments to worry about getting wet. You can also use a fresh batch of 10% bleach solution (bleach solution should be thrown out after 24 hours as it won’t be as effective after that time). When cleaning you really need to be mindful of getting the area in between each bubble. I thought mine was completely clean but when I took it out after sitting in the drawer I noticed it wasn’t as clean as I thought.

I love that this is rechargeable, no batteries and it’s great for the environment. It’s awesome that it has multiple settings but I’m more a high-speed steady pace girl. It’s also waterproof so it can be used in the shower or bathtub. I love all of Funfactory’s rechargeable toys. They are a little pricy but worth the money and they last. If this is something that looks appealing to you I would definitely recommend trying it out.
