Safer Oral Sex: Fellatio

While oral sex is often considered less risky than anal or vaginal sex, it still has it's risks. Men in particular will come it with all the excuses in the world as to why they can't or won't use a condom for oral sex but women have a few too but why risk it! Use a barrier method such as a condom or dental dam.

Find yourself a partner and the following:

A flavored condom. If you can't find flavored, look for powder free non-lubricated condoms. Lubricated condoms particularly those with spermicidal lubricants taste terrible. If your allergic to latex try a polyurethane condom.

Tasty flavored lubricant. Flavored Lube is come in a variety of flavors including sugar free, some glycerin free, organic, vegan, etc.

Water-based Lubricant.

Once you have found all of the above put a drop of water based lubricant on your partner's penis. Put condom over tip. Make sure it's facing the proper way before touching the penis with it, then slide all the way down the shaft. Put flavored lube over top and have fun!

If you want to impress your partner, try putting the condom on with your mouth. This is called cheeking a condom. To cheek a condom follow the steps below:
• Check the expiration date.
• Open the condom carefully. Do not use your teeth or sharp nails that could make small tears in the condom.
• Put the condom in your mouth with the reservoir tip pointing toward your throat, and the ring of the condom in front of your teeth.
• Press the reservoir tip with your tongue against the roof of your mouth you want to keep the air out of the tip as the condom is going on (similar to squeezing the tip of the condom)
• At this point you could put a bit of lubricant on your partners penis for extra sensitivity.
• Take one or both of your hands and wrap them around the base of your partner’s penis to keep it hard and straight. If your partner is uncircumcised, make sure his foreskin is pulled back.
• Lower your head and put the condom on the tip of his penis. Make sure you have the reservoir tip squeezed with your tongue against the head of the penis.
• Use your lips to roll the condom down the shaft of the penis. You might very gently be using your teeth, but be careful to only use the front flat parts for guidance, not to bite down or tear the condom with your teeth.

Remember, you can't put a condom over a soft penis. If you start putting the condom on the wrong way, throw it away and get a new one. Don't ever flip it over and use the other side. Flavored condoms are for oral sex only, not vaginal or anal sex. If you intend to have anal or vaginal sex after preforming oral sex, remove the flavored condom, wipe yourself down throughly to remove all flavored lubricants and put on a regular condom. Flavored lubricant are for external use only because they can often be irritating when used internally.
